The structure has a colonisable portion (1) made from a single porous biocompatible material, preferably medical grade tantalum or titanium, with an open porosity of 17 - 87 per cent and a shape, cylindrical or not, that is adapted to the needs of the patient. It can have an external thread for screwing into the bone and a central well (2) to receive an axis (5).
