Retainers (6, 7) hold the limb (2) and a plate (8) supports the wing (3) and phalanges (4). The plate is pivoted about an axis (YY'), enabling displacement alternately to both sides of the region of retention. During forcible displacement, the wing joint is dislocated. The retainers comprise two vice jaws, one fixed, the other moving to and from it. The plate has a groove for insertion and retention of the wing. The support plate is grooved to assist passage of a cutter. The axis is located above and below the fixed jaw (6), to allow the plate to pass from one side to the other of the fixed jaw, during displacement. An installation based on the foregoing equipment is also described. This comprises many wing separators in turntable configuration with radial operating rods and actuators.
