Polarising transparent optical products comprising a transparent substrate with a stable polarising coating consisting of (a) a layer of polymer attached to the surface, possibly via a coupling layer, (b) a film of pigment with polarising properties and (c) an outer protective layer. Polarising transparent optical products (I) comprising a transparent base substrate made of mineral or organic material, with a polarising coating on at least part of the outer surface. This coating is integrated in a stable manner with the substrate and has a stratified structure comprising (a) a layer of polymer fixed to the surface directly or via a coupling layer, (b) a film of pigment(s) with polarising properties and (c) an outer protective layer. An independent claim is also included for a method (M1) for the production of (I) by the formation and integration, in a stable manner, of a polarising coating as above on a transparent substrate.
