[Also in Division B6] In apparatus including a die for periodically operating on a web of material fed through the apparatus, the web-feeding devices include a guide around which the web is looped, and the guide is reciprocated by hydraulic means in time with the operation of the die, so as to cause the part of the web to be operated on to be stationary relative to the die during operation of the die. The die may produce fusion lines in a double-layer web of synthetic plastic material, or burn-through holes, or moulded forms in the web.
