A detergent granule comprising: (a) from 10 to 60 wt% calcium-tolerant anionic surfactant or a calcium-tolerant surfactant blend, (b) from 10 to 70 wt% particulate carrier material, (c) from 2 to 30 wt% dehydrating agent, (d) from 1 to 25 wt% water, wherein the water is partially or totally absorbed within the dehydrating agent and/or the carrier material characterised in that (i) the dehydrating agent can absorb water such that, when fully hydrated, at least 25% of its weight is water and it has an equilibrium relative humidity at 25°C of less than 60% and is stable up to 50°C and (ii) the granule has an equilibrium relative humidity of less than 60% at 25°C. The invention also includes a process for manufacture of the granule.
