摘要 The invention relates to an actinic light colposcope and to a method for specific detection of lesions caused by the human papilloma virus in the lower female genital tract. There are over 100 types of viruses known as Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). More than 30 HPV virus types can infect the lower female genital tract. The new colposcopic system is specifically intended to diagnose lesions caused by HPV, which is the etiological agent of most neoplasia and uterine cervix cancer, the main cause of death cancer in women and the second most frequent malign neoplasia in the world. The system avoids costly studies or long processes in order to obtain a highly reliable result in the detection of lesions caused by HPV. The system has special and unique characteristics as well as competitive advantages in the optical equipment manufacturing industry: 1.- The device is portable and ergonomic. 2.- It uses a low heat intensity light source. 3.-It works as an ordinary colposcope and an actinic light colposcope. 4.- The results are obtained at the same time as the process is carried out and in the same place in which it is carried out. 5.- It reduces current costs of medical studies and procedures.
