DEVICES FOR ALIGNING SHEETS

The mechanism for aligning printed sheets (1) comprises a rotating cylinder (04) with front stops and suction ports around its surface, on to which the sheets flow. A position sensor detects the position of the sides of the sheets relative to a desired position and controls an adjuster. A drive motor for the cylinder can be controlled to vary its speed of rotation. An independent claim is included for a method for aligning printed sheets using the mechanism.
