The machine comprises an inflatable hose (1) which has cords (6) at both ends for securing it to the body (e.g. the hips) and which is divided into sections (2-5) connected via tubes (7-10) to a compressor distributor (11). A training program input device (12) is connected to the distributor. The muscles are exercised as they oppose the force acting against the body by the inflation of the hose.
