A childrens high chair comprises a base portion (10) , two pneumatic cylinders (20) and a seat portion (30). The pneumatic cylinders support the seat portion and may be pivotally connected to the seat portion via a pivoting bracket (34 fig 5) and spring loaded release buttons (31 fig 5 ). The lower portion of the cylinders may be detached from the base via removal of retaining clips (12 , fig 4A and 4B). The cylinders may be pivoted through ninety degrees to lie in line with the seat base. In an alternative embodiment the highchair may use only one cylinder to support the seat base (fig 8). |
