A process for coating plastic surfaces comprises roughening and warming the surfaces using a jet of plastic granules, and applying the coating material to the roughened and still warm surface. An independent claim is also included for a coating apparatus comprising a jet region (18), a second jet region (19) for coating the first material, a transport unit (11,14) for the coated components, and a loading station (12).
