Multilayers of polyamide/polyurethane for decorated articles

A polyamide (PA)/polyurethane multilayer structure comprises transparent polyamide-based layer, and layer based on a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). The polyamide-based layer comprises polyamide(s) from semi-aromatic or semi-cycloaliphatic polyamides or aliphatic polyamides. Independent claims are also included for: (A) a decorated article comprising an object having bonded there the polyamide/polyurethane multilayer structure and where polyamide layer is on the outside; and (B) a process for forming a structure comprising bonding the polyamide/TPU structure to a polyurethane foam or a polyurethane resin or overmolding the polyurethane foam or the polyurethane resin to the polyamide/TPU structure placed in a mold where the polyamide layer is adjacent to the mold wall.
