The torsional vibration damper for a torque converter lock-up clutch equipped with a piston (40) has a damper unit with a rotational angle limiter with a protrusion on one transmission element and an opening in the other transmission element. The transmission element (64) with the opening (86) is supported on a support component (62) at least in the range of the extent of the opening, and the protrusion (84) on the transmission element supporting it engages in the associated opening with a predetermined clearance in the axial direction in relation to the support component.
