A tripod assembly having a base (12) and a head (16) mounted to the base (12). A plurality of legs (18A,18B,18C) are coupled to the base (12) and are moveable between an open position and a closed position. The plurality of legs (18A,18B,18C) form a tripod to support the base (12) and head (16) in an upright position when the legs (18A,18B,18C) are in the open position.
