The multi-functional device has a light source directing light into a light conducting device, which has part of its surface on the opposite side to the object to be illuminated provided with an opaque coating (2) which is mirrored on the inside. A number of light-emitting diode light sources (4,4a,5,5a) can be hermetically sealed within the light conducting device.
