The seat has a folding backrest (2) which folds onto the seat part (1) to form a load surface. The seat part is supported by a rocker (9) connected by a coupling member with overload protection to the backrest. The coupling member transfers the backrest folding force on to the rocker, turning it forward and lowering the seat part. The coupling member is in the form of a cable (12) with an integrated traction spring.
