Process for zero point correction of a measuring device, especially a flow measuring device, comprises carrying out several zero point adjustments under different device and/or process states. A device and/or system parameter set is determined for each zero point adjustment together with the zero measurement value and stored in an electronic memory. During normal operation of the measuring device a stored device and/or system parameter set matching the current system and/or device parameters is located so that the zero measurement value assigned to this parameter set can be used as the current zero point value.
