Mowing machine (M) for attaching to a lifting device (1) of a tractor comprises a laterally protruding mowing mechanism (8) arranged on a support arm (2) of a support frame via a lifting arm (6) so that it pivots about a pivot axis (3) oriented in the direction of travel. The mowing machine also comprises a hydromechanical pivot device for adjusting the mowing mechanism between a horizontal working position, a raised position and a vertical transport position. The pivot device has at least two hydrocylinders (5, 9) arranged between the support frame and the lifting arm. An intermediate lever (4) pivoting on the support frame or support arm and arranged between the two hydrocylinders divides the pivot device into two separate pivot systems (Y1, Y2).
