A D.C. motor and a speed reducer are combined in a single unit, the motor being supplied through a silicon-controlled rectifier 42 formed as module of the plug-in type which is adapted to be inserted into a base for connection with two other modules. These comprise a full-wave bridge rectifier 40 and a trigger unit 44 mounted in a control box which also contains switches and rheostats 70, 72. The speed reducer may be of the worm gear type having an input shaft driven directly by the motor and an output shaft at right-angles to the input shaft.</p> |
