The invention relates to a detonation sensor pertaining to an internal combustion engine and comprising a vibration sensor that can be electronically evaluated. The aim of the invention is to provide one such detonation sensor that is designed in such a way that it has a simple structure and can be rationally mounted. To this end, the vibration sensor is embodied as a piezoresistive amorphous carbon layer.
