The thermo-formed sealing cover (2) (snap lid and/or bowl) (1) on first opening evidences visible and/or detectable damage caused. The damage occurs at the location of weakened formations in the lid and/or corresponding bowl produced during the thermo-formation process. An extra underlying sealing foil is no longer necessary. One closure edge (3) so corresponds with another such edge (4) that a hermetic and hygienic closure is produced. The closure occurs through the clamping connection between the lid cavity (5) and the bowl edge (6). Opening of the lid is in principle mostly possible in the periphery. Manufacture of these types of cover and bowl is by ingestion moulding or by a thermo-forming process.
