<p>Subject of the invention is a locking element, which provides the possibility of attaching a lateral branch pipe (30) to the main piping without the need for temporary interrupting the media flow through the main piping and thus a reliable hydraulic link between the branch pipe (30), while if necessary such a hydraulic link can also be interrupted. For this purpose, the enclosure (2) of the locking element (1) features a hinged sealing panel (4), which can be rotated around the rotating axis (50) with the help of a form-fitting link attached to a control element (5), which is along with the sealing panel (4) for any application required to be swivelled around the very same rotation axis (50). The panel (4) features an adequately large sealing area (41) for covering the opening in the wall of the main piping as well as a passage (42), which allows either access to a drilling tool of a drilling device up to the location provided for making a hole in the main piping or to establish a hydraulic link between the main piping and the branch pipe (30) after the application of the opening in the wall of the main piping.</p> |
