The invention relates to the printing industry, namely to the information carriers, in particular to securities, documents, bands of control-cash registers and their protection from falsification with the help of identification and protective markers and may be used for identification of the control-cash register bands, containing information about sales during inspection by the fiscal authorities. Summary of the invention consists in that the information carrier includes the band of the control-cash register, containing an elongated protective element, including a drawing composition in the form of a repeated drawing, made essentially linear and constituted of lines, at the same time the repeated drawing is applied along the article's length with the possibility of information read-out for article's identification on the spontaneously chosen sector, containing per length unit at least one line or space, and the lines' width spontaneously varies along the drawing's length.
