A battery pack is provided which positively prohibits loading in a tilted state on a battery loading device. The battery pack includes a battery cell, a casing 19 housing the battery cell, first to third output terminals 21-23 for outputting the power of the battery cell, a bottom surface 24 arranged substantially at right angles to a front surface 20 of the casing 19 carrying the output terminals 21-23 in continuation to the front surface 20, a discriminating recess 30 provided substantially on the centerline of the bottom surface 24 perpendicular to the front surface 20, and control recesses 28, 29 opening in the front surface 20 and the bottom surface 24 at corners of the front surface 20 and the bottom surface 24 for engaging with a battery loading device 6. The control recesses 28, 29 are formed to a bent shape having a portion perpendicular to the bottom surface 24 and a portion parallel to the bottom surface 24. <IMAGE> |
