<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric oscillator suited to miniaturization and thinning, and an electronic apparatus using the piezoelectric oscillator. <P>SOLUTION: A piezoelectric oscillator 10 comprises: a plurality of packaging leads 12 each of which is formed from a lead frame and includes a packaging terminal 24 connected to a packaging substrate; an electronic component electrically connected with the plurality of packaging leads 12; a piezoelectric vibrator 18 that includes an external terminal and is electrically connected with the electronic component; and a connection means for electrically connecting the external terminal of the piezoelectric vibrator and connecting terminals provided in the electronic component. In this piezoelectric oscillator, the periphery of the lead frames and the electronic component is sealed by a molding material while exposing the packaging terminals 24 of at least the plurality of packaging leads 12.
