A conductor segment (331) constituting a stator coil has a head conductor portion protruding from slots (35) of a stator core (32) for constituting a head side coil end. The head conductor portion of the conductor segment (331) consists of a V-angled portion (3310) and straight portions (3320) extending straight in the axial direction from both ends of the V-angled portion (3310), so as to form, as a whole, a pentagonal shape.
