METHOD FOR REDUCING COLD START EMISSIONS

A method reduces cold start emissions in spark ignited internal combustion engines. The method includes supplying a fuel having an additive that includ es a metal--containing compound to a spark ignited internal combustion engine. Th e metal--containing compound is supplied in an amount effective to reduce cold start emissions. In one example, the metal is manganese and the additive compound is MMT.
