<p>A method for applying lock and hinge fittings to a double glazed frameless glass door/window has a spacer (6) between the panels and with the fittings inserted from the open edges. Holes bored through the glass panes locate the fittings and insert sleeves (10a, 10b) are fitted loosely into the holes and have a length greater than the thickness of the glass. The sleeves take the clamping force for securing the fittings.</p> |
