PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray tube anode (10) having two targets (24, 26) arranged back to back. SOLUTION: The targets (24, 26) respectively have separate cathodes (28, 30) facing with each other. The targets (24, 26) are separated by a prescribed distance (d) from each other and rotate together with on the same bearing shaft. The cathodes (28, 30) are attached to both ends of a vacuum tube housing (18). The cathodes (28, 30) can be operated simultaneously or individually with each other depending on purpose.
