PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for displaying waveforms having enhanced visibility for highlighting a specific waveform among a plurality of waveforms displayed on a screen by changing the transparency of other waveform lines and changing a desired waveform line periodically. SOLUTION: The waveform display method simultaneously displays the plurality of waveforms on the display screen and performs display in such a way as to change the transparency of waveforms except a selected waveform among displayed waveforms. This display with changed transparency is performed in such a way that the transparency is changed at regular intervals, at random intervals, or at intervals gradually increasing and decreasing in duration.
