PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress increase in intake resistance even when a suction port cannot be arranged between two screw rotor shafts. SOLUTION: In a screw compressor 1, a pair of male and female screw rotors 8 has a plurality of tooth spaces and is formed from an intake side end face to a discharge side end face. The pair of male and female screw rotors 8 are mutually meshed and rotated, so that fluid is taken from a suction port 20 formed in an intake side case 7 into a pump space formed of tooth spaces of the intake side end face, and then the fluid is discharged from a discharge port 13 near the discharge side end face. The suction port 20 formed in the intake side case 7 of the compressor 1 is shifted from an intermediate position between the screw rotors 8 on a screw rotor 8A side having large tooth space volume.
