PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grating replacing method which facilitates replacement of a grating and contributes to reduction in replacing cost. SOLUTION: The grating replacing method is carried out by the following two steps. In the first step, an existing bearing frame 92 is left in a road surface 90, and a new bearing frame 1 insertable into the existing bearing frame 92 is provided. Then the new bearing frame 1 is inserted into the existing bearing frame 92, and the new bearing frame 1 is fixed into the existing bearing frame 92 such that the new bearing frame 1 is borne by a bearing surface 92a. Next in the second step, a new grating cover 10 which is insertable into the new bearing frame 1 and has an upper surface flush with the road surface 90 when borne by the bearing surface 92a, is provided, and then it is inserted into the new bearing frame 1.
