PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain adequate engagement state of a pinion 14a with a rack 8b, and to prevent abrasion of teeth of the pinion 14a and the rack 8b even when a large power is transmitted between the pinion 14a and the rack 8b in a structure in which a pinion shaft 11a is lengthened because of a reason on the layout or the like. SOLUTION: A projecting part 22 is formed on an inner circumferential surface of an intermediate part of a cylindrical part 21 to store the pinion shaft 11a, and the inner circumferential surface of the projecting part 22 is brought close to an outer circumferential surface of an intermediate portion of the pinion shaft 11a in a facing manner. When the power is increased, and the pinion shaft 11a is likely to deflect, the outer circumferential surface of the intermediate portion of the pinion shaft 11a is partly abutted on the inner circumferential surface of the projecting part 22 to prevent further deflection of the pinion shaft 11a.
