PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely predict the occurrence position of microporosity in a casting. SOLUTION: A step 205 where, regarding a casting as an analysis object, a flowing limit solid phase ratio fslim being a solid phase ratio at the time when the molten metal of metal or an alloy used for casting is made not to flow by its partial solidification, and a flowing resistance starting solid phase ratio fss being a solid phase ratio at the time when it shifts to a state in which resistance is produced in the flowing of the molten metal of the metal or alloy are beforehand set; steps 204 to 207 where, in all the positions of the casting, at the point of time in which the local solid phase ratio fs on each point reaches the flowing limit solid phase ratio fslim, the distance D to a closest place having the local solid phase ratio of the flowing resistance starting solid phase ratio fss from the position and a solidified boundary progression velocity V in the position are obtained; a step 208 where a parameter X=1/D/V is calculated from the distance D and solidified boundary progression velocity V; and a steps 210 to 12 where, on the basis of the calculated data of the parameter X, the solidification analysis of the casting is performed are carried out.
