SAFETY STEPPING BOARD DEVICE FOR TRAIN

A safety footplate of a train is disclosed. The safety footplate of a train comprises a door interworking member that is operable depending on the open or close operation of a door and converts a horizontal movement of the door into a vertical movement thereof, a first guide member mounted on the frame of each side of the door and connected with the door and ascends/descends the door in a predetermined stroke, a second guide member mounted on the first guide member and giving a predetermined tension force to the door interworking member, a cylinder member mounted on the frame of each side of the door and giving an elastic force to the first guide member as ascent/descent of the first guide member, a footplate hinged to the first guide member, biased in an unfolded position and retracted when in an ascent of the first guide member or stretched onto a platform when in a descent of the first guide member, and a confinement member installed on the path of movement of the first guide member and the second guide member and interferes with the ascending movement of the footplate as the door is closed, and includes the footplate in a retracted position. The safety footplate of a train can prevent an accident occurring at the platform gap between a doorsill of a train and an upper edge of a platform when getting in or out a train. Further, the safety footplate of a train can be operated in proportion as a door of a train is closed or opened, and also can be operated without an installation of additional power and control apparatus.
