<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set print settings while confirming the state of the settings on a display screen. <P>SOLUTION: When a variety of print-related settings are to be set on the display screen, a user interface screen for setting the variety of print-related settings is displayed. An item that can be set according to a print function 303 specified by the user on the interface screen is displayed on a preview screen 302. The user sets the settings by dragging an icon showing the print function to the item that can be set.
