PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic slider with two tabs which is equipped with an engaging mechanism to automatically open a slide fastener even when any of two tabs is operated. SOLUTION: This slider 1 has two pull tabs 2, 3 positioned mutually symmetrical having rings 2a, 3a. The slider 1 includes a hollow body 4 to house an escape piece 5 with a claw part 6. The claw part 6 is constituted so as to be, in a releasable manner, inserted between the teeth parts of a slide fastener to prevent unnecessary movement between the slide fastener and the slider 1. One pull tab 2 directly comes into contact with the escape piece 5 by a ring 2a to create a released condition when the tab 2 is operated. The other pull tab 3 comes into contact with an inclined face 8 of a rigid body 9 housed in the hollow body 4 by a ring 3a. When the tab 3 is operated to sufficiently rotate the rigid body 9, the escape piece 5 is pressed via a movable pin 10 housed in the hollow body 4 to release the claw part 6 from the teeth parts of the slide fastener.
