PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a cleaning blade also as a pre-exposure device in order to reduce the size and cost of an apparatus. SOLUTION: In a system with a cleaning blade, a stress luminescent material is incorporated into the blade and the blade is allowed to emit light by frictional force during rotation of a drum, whereby the blade serves for pre-exposure.
