PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-ballasted fluorescent lamp with a brighter red color. SOLUTION: In the self-ballasted fluorescent lamp equipped with an arc tube having a glass bulb with its inside face coated with phosphor and a glass globe covering the arc tube, neodymium-containing glass is used for the glass globe.
