PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device in which a product yield is improved and a method for manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is provided with a TFT substrate 2 on which a plurality of pixels are disposed in a matrix, a transparent substrate 7 stuck to the TFT substrate by using a transparent adhesive, a counter substrate 6 placed opposite to the transparent substrate via a specified interval and a liquid crystal 8 held in a gap between the transparent substrate and the counter substrate.
