PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce windage loss and noise by smoothing roughness of surfaces of an impeller and a housing. SOLUTION: Paying attention to an air flow condition at a time that air flow sucked from a fan blade tip part passes through a surface of the impeller 1 or an inner circumference surface of the housing 2, the height difference of surface roughness of the impeller 1 or the housing 2 is reduced to smooth the surface, which suppresses turbulence to be generated in air flow passing through the surface of the impeller 1 and the inner circumference surface of the housing 2 to reduce windage loss. Consequently, blower efficiency of a fan motor can be improved, reduction of energy consumption of an apparatus or improvement of cooling capacity can be materialized. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
