SEALING DEVICE

A sealing device comprising a look portion and a disposable seal, wherein the seal rotates as it is inserted into the lock portion. The seal is retained in the lock portion by snap fit engagement. Rotation of the seal during insertion improves the resistance of the sealing device to tampering. The lock portion preferably comprises a tapered bore into which the seal is inserted and a spiral channel to rotate to the seal as it is inserted. The lock portion also preferably comprises a tray for locating a tag attached to a zipper, thereby enabling the sealing device to seal a zipped bag, such as a mailing pouch. The seal preferably has four resiliently deformable legs with outwardly protruding feet and a disc shaped head attached to the legs by a frangible neck.
