<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording medium capable of exhibiting reliability equal to that of a conventional optical information recording medium when auxiliary information is recorded and reproduced and having high productivity and to provide its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: In the optical information recording medium provided with at least a region corresponding to a burst cutting area, before first and second substrates are bonded to each other, the region is provided on at least the first substrate by irradiation with a laser.
