<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric vehicle that uses a battery as a main power supply and can quickly cope with abrupt changes of powering and a load at braking. <P>SOLUTION: When the charging state of a battery 51 reaches the lower limit of the intermediate state of the capacity of the battery, a command for increasing an output of power is outputted to a generation system 60, and, when the charging state of the battery 51 reaches the upper limit of the intermediate state of the capacity of the battery, a command for decreasing an output of power is outputted to the generation system 60.
