摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a compact deflection electromagnet which has a focusing capacity to satisfy the circuiting condition of an accelerator in a deflection electromagnet used in an accelerating device in which the circumference orbit of charged particles spreads in a radial direction by acceleration. <P>SOLUTION: In order to adjust the focusing capacity by an edge focus according to the incident location of the charged particles to the deflection electromagnet 1, a leakage magnetic field adjusting means 13a is provided which adjusts a leakage magnetic field distribution shape along the travelling orbit of the charged particles from the deflection electromagnet 1 in the vicinity of the incident or outgoing orbit face of the charged particles by depending on the incident or outgoing location of the charged particles of the deflection electromagnet 1, by adjusting a magnetic field leakage factor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p>
