PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid a loss of chances for vending commodities, which is caused by a large error from a proper chlorine concentration, in a chlorine generating device of a cup type vending machine. SOLUTION: The chlorine generating device includes: a main control part 1; a ice machine pump timer 3 for counting the power supply time of an ice machine pump 2; an ice machine power supply time storage means 4 for storing the power supply time of the chlorine generating device in accordance with the data; a hot water tank pump timer 6 for counting a power supply time of a hot water tank pump 5; a hot water tank power supply time storage means 7 for storing the power supply time of the chlorine generating device in accordance with the data; a chlorine generating device power supply time storage means 8 for storing the power supply time of the chlorine generating device; and an arithmetic control part 9a. When the passage of a certain time is counted by the ice machine pump timer 3 and the hot water tank pump timer 6, a chlorine generating device power supply time is determined by the ice machine power supply time storage means 4 and the hot water tank power supply time storage means 7 and is stored in the chlorine generating device power supply time storage means 8.
