PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and simply manufacture an optical fiber module provided with an optical fiber and a lens separated from the optical fiber. SOLUTION: The end 12e of the optical fiber 11 and an end 14e of the lens 13 are ground by using a manufacturing tool 30 of which an edge angle isθafter fixing the optical fiber 11 and the lens 13 onto the base member 21, to form a tilt edge 12 inclined atθto the vertical direction of the optical axis of the optical fiber 11 on the optical fiber 11, and to form a vertical edge 14 on the lens 13.
