PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dry type cleaning device which facilitates recovery and disposal of a cleaning material after cleaning, and achieves a high cleaning effect, and to provide a method of cleaning a road lane space mark, for removing dirt on a surface of the lane space mark by using the dry type cleaning device without damaging beads. SOLUTION: The dry type cleaning device is provided with a cleaning surface cover 4 which encloses a predetermined range inclusive of a cleaning surface A and includes a space therein, a vacuum 20 for sucking air in the cleaning surface cover, and a cleaning material ejection nozzle 10 for ejecting the particulate cleaning material toward the cleaning surface. According to the method of cleaning the road lane space mark, the particulate cleaning material formed of baking soda is ejected at a high speed from the cleaning material ejection nozzle 10 to carry out cleaning of the cleaning surface, and the scattered cleaning material is sucked by the vacuum 20 and then removed by a powder removing device 22.
