PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting work supporting device capable of indicating the position for mounting parts and inspecting the presence of the parts after being mounted in the same process with the only single range finder by eliminating the limitation of the working space for an operator. SOLUTION: A door panel D positioned and clamped on gauge posts 2, 3 can be changed in the posture between a working posture P2 for mounting parts and a posture P1 for carrying in and out together with the clamping device 10, and laser type range finders 17, 18 having functions of indication of the position for mounting parts and detection of the presence of the parts after being mounted are provided on an upper part. The indication points B1, B11 of the position for mounting parts relative to the door panel D of the working posture P2 for mounting parts, and the detection point B2 of the presence of the parts relative to the door panel D of the posture P1 for carrying in and out are previously set on the optical axis of the same laser beam Lb. The indication of the position for mounting parts is performed by the irradiation of the beam spots B1, B11, and the presence of the parts P after being mounted is performed by the distance measurement based on the reflected light of the beam spot B2 of the laser beam Lb.
