PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a molecular sieve by which a ceramic porous film can be prevented from being eluted when a zeolite film is synthesized hydrothermally. SOLUTION: This method for manufacturing the molecular sieve by forming the zeolite film 50 as the molecular sieve on one side of the ceramic porous film 30 by hydrothermal synthesis comprises the steps of: forming a zirconia film 40 as an alkali-resistant buffer layer having alkali resistance on one side of an alumina porous film 30 as the ceramic porous film, and forming the zeolite film 50 on the zirconia film 40 by hydrothermal synthesis.
