PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powder container from which its contents do not scatter due to a vacuum effect. SOLUTION: The powder container is provided with a container body (1) and a lid body (2). A plurality of recession parts (3) extended along the periphery of a side wall (1b) of the container main body (1) and notched at a protrusion end part (t) of the side wall (1b) are formed at separate regions (4) in the side wall (1b). Engaging parts (5) are provided for the side wall (1b) at locations below the separate regions (4) or the recession parts (3). Groove parts (6) and libs (7) are provided for the inside surface side of a circumferential wall (2a) of the lid body (2). The width (w<SB>1</SB>) of the groove part (6) is smaller than the width size (w) of the separate region (4), and the groove parts (6) maintain an airtight state by closing an outside air inlet (R), formed in such a way to be positioned at the recession part (3) when the lid body (2) is removed, by positioning the outside air inlet (R) at one of the separate regions (4).
